The KA class locomotives, 3 in total, began life on narrow gauge rails as members of the RA class. In the early 1970s they were converted to standard gauge and reclassified. At Kalgoorlie on April 11th, 1985, KA class, no. KA212, is seen entering the depot for stabling.
