The turntable at Launceston Roundhouse was obviously an important piece of equipment for the depot and workshops. On February 2nd, 1977 ZA class, no. ZA6, the last locomotive to be constructed by GEC (English Electric) at Rocklea Works in Brisbane, is framed by the gantry of the turntable as it's crew discuss the movements.
