Note(s)
1 Locomotives that derived from those that were built with centre indicator panels were fitted with roof mounted warning horns and were therefore higher.
2 Some locomotives had their steam generators removed/isolated and the boiler water tanks then converted to carry fuel instead, extending their range of operations.
3 To avoid situations when working in multiple with refurbished Class 37's, all unrefurbished examples were 'capped' at 80 mph after 1985.
