After being withdrawn from service by the National Railways of Zimbabwe, DE3 class no. 1314 was donated to the Bulaqayo Railway museum and it seen on display in April 2005

The museum is situated behind the Bulawayo Railway Station, in the Raylton suburb of Bulawayo in western Zimbabwe. Access is possible via the pedestrian footbridge at the station. The museum is located in an area that was previously a workshop used in the maintenance of refrigeration wagons.

Opened in 1972, the Museum displays a wealth of small exhibits and models as well as steam and diesel electric locomotives. The Museum is owned by the National Railways of Zimbabwe and is managed by the NRZ Historical Committee, made up of railwaymen from various departments.

The Railway Museum is accessible from the Railway Station at Bulawayo. Use the footbridge at the Western end of the station to gain access to Customs Avenue, then use the maps below to gain access to the site.
