After being replaced on the Blackwater and Moura coal duties in the early 1980s by Electric Traction, the 2350 and 2370 class locomotives were put to other use initially. Towards the end of the decade, the class was sold as a job lot to TasRail and the locos were stored at Redbank before being 'exported'. On July 12th, 1987 2350 class, no. 2358, is seen at the head of row of 5 locos, no. 2351, can just be seen to the right.
