Another Order Placed

Following on from the order by the East African Railways & Harbours board for 10 locomotives, an order was placed for 25 locomotives to be supplied to the Sudan Government Railways which were to be fitted with the 12CSVT diesel engine like the EAR&H order. Due to the urgent need for these locomotives in Sudan, English Electric were asked to prioritise this order over that placed by EAR&H.
