Introduction
When the decision was initally made to add Video files to 'English Electric Growl' a couple of companies were contacted and asked to make a contribution. Steve Marshall, from Globe Video Films, was the first to respond my request and in the following weeks contributed samples of all the Class 37 sub-classes that were operating at the time.

37...still going strong
37...still going strong
Released in July 1998 '37 ... And Still Going Strong' is the first in this series of videos marking a tribute to this famous class of diesel locomotive. Nationwide views combine the unmistakable sight and sound of more than 100 class 37s on both freight and passenger workings throughout the 1990s. Almost all livery variations are included from BR blue to EWS.

Full colour and captions including locos/location/train details.

Narrative is deliberately omitted so as not to compromise the distinctive sound of the Class 37s at work.

A must for all Class 37 fans

The Ultimate Collection
The Ultimate Collection
This programme is a must for all Class 37 fans!

We have ensured that our final programme dedicated to these wonderful type 3s is the ultimate - hence the title.

The programme and will be a TRIPLE DVD set featuring EVERY SINGLE ONE of the English Electric Class 37s on film.

Whichever is your favourite, it will be here.
[In fact there are nearly 400 appearances of 37s because of double and triple headers - represented by over 30 varieties of livery.]

We have been strict on the criteria for inclusion - no locos in preservation and all filmed in the UK.

Indeed, almost all of the clips have never previously been seen so this is a feast of rare, and of course noisy, scenes.

Even D6983 appears - in traffic for only 7 months in 1965.

Locomotives are shown in sequence with a brief fact screen introducing each member of the Class.

Throughout the programme, each of the 309 members of the class 37 fleet is depicted by a scene from it’s past. This may be last year or many years ago, and thus many liveries are depicted from British Railways Green and BR Blue through to sector liveries and beyond into the Privatised era.

With a programme that runs for over 4 and a half hours hours we are very limited as to what can be shown as a preview but click on the link below to see 4 clips from each of the 3 DVDs that make up the programme.
* Beware file size 5mb so be patient! *

With a total running time of 4 hours 35 minutes and priced at £29.99 this represents outstanding value at under £10 per DVD.
[Just think - for less than the price of a full tank of petrol you can own ALL of the Class 37s!]
