This section has been part of the site for a number of years and has been quite successful in allowing visitors to find spares that they need or indeed offer spares/services to other preservationists. During a recent revamp of the whole site, a new framework has been introduced to the section and all previous outstanding requests should be resubmitted using the the contact form, selecting ´Spares´ from the drop down Topic Menu.
As well as spares required/wanted, you can also request or offer copies of literature that may be of assistance to your goal as a preservationists. As the 12CSVT has many interchangable parts with other locomotives of the English Electric family, it is obvious that some parts/literature may belong to other fleets, but may be adapted for use on the 12CSVT.
COMPANIES REQUIRING PARTS/QUOTES PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING
Since setting up these pages there has been a steady flow of requests recieved for non-rail/Diesel engine spares by companies. We would like to point out that we are not a supplier of English Electric parts and that any requests of a commercial kind should be directed at the companies listed in these pages, of course mentioning ´English Electric Growl´ in any correspondence.
