This section of the site is not meant as to be a full history of the English Electric company, but will hopefully help you find out more about the company that has built some of the most successful designs in their market. A brief history has already been written and published, click on "History" on the left to access it.
"12CSV Sites" will evolve over time to reveal information on the construction sites of the English Electric Company where locomotives fitted the 12CSV Diesel engine were built, other sites may be added at a later date.
"Other 12CSV uses" has been incorporated into this section when the site returned it's focus towards the railway use of the engine. It was felt that the section did not warrant it's own area of the site as it was very underused and read, but a big effort has been made to bring the information to the site in the first place, so EE seemed to be the most appropriate place to carry on the publication.
"Other E.E. Locos" is the next project for this site. It will a small area where some details on Diesel and Electric locomotives of the English Electric group and related companies will be reproduced to help complete the company profile. If you think that you may be able to help with information for this area, please get in touch [link below].
Since "English Electric Growl" was set up, we have been contacted by numerous companies requiring spares for their English Electric machines. So much so, that a "Spares" section has been created to help these companies and preservationists to get in touch with companies that may be able to help.
If you think you can contribute to any of these topics, please use the links provided on the
