The first batch of 90 class locomotives were delivered to the East African Railways in 1960, with later batches delivered towards the end of that decade. 8735 is seen in Nairobi sheds undergoing overhaul in January 2005, hopefully this means that the class will be operating for a few years yet!
This site would not contain as much information as it does if it was not for the contributors from around the globe who have supplied information and photographs for use. It is only fitting that there is part of this site dedicated to those people who have made this effort to help us out.
