This section of the site has been divided into three areas, Australian Built, British Built and Build Lists.

"Australian Built" and "British Built" include the details of all classes of locomotives built in those respective countries, and where appropriate, details of new classes that were formed by rebuilding/refurbishing those locomotives over time.

The build lists are currently separated from the above listings and are displayed in the order of the works number rather than the actual running number received on introduction to service with the indicated company. A more dynamic history of each locomotive over its years in service will be found on our related site, "The Growlette" [www.growlette.com].

A number of photographs and videos of these locomotives can be found in the gallery section of this site, more information on these is available here.
