There are ongoing investigations about the construction sites that were involved in the construction of anything related to the 12CSVT diesel engine.

The three sites listed below are where the English Electric Comapny constructed locomotives for the 12CSVT variant :–
  1. VULCAN FOUNDRY at Newton-le-willows, Merseyside. United Kingdom.
  2. ROBERT STEPHENSON & HAWTHORNS at Darlington Wks, Co. Durham. United Kingdom.
  3. ENGLISH ELECTRIC AUSTRALIA at Rocklea Works, Brisbane, Queensland. Australia.
We are currently researching other sites and the depth of information included in future updates of these pages will depend on our research and your contributions. It is hoped that this section will include opening and closing dates, photographs of the sites, layouts of the sites possibly at different dates during its operation and, copyright permitting, maps of the area.

A long term plan would be to include the current status and use of the site with photographs.
