This section of the site is not meant as to be a full history of the English Electric company, but will hopefully help you find out more about the company that has built some of the most successful designs in their market.

As well as a brief history of the company, from its humble beginnings through to its takeover and beyond, this section will also include information on the sites where locomotives and their components were built.

Other uses of the 12CSV Diesel engine will be made available here, as well as some information about companies that provide spares for this engine/locomotive and requests⁄offers concerning spares wanted⁄available from other individuals.

In recent months, although it is clearly stated that EEG is a tribute website, there have been a number of requests for spares for other English Electric products. At EEG, it is understood that English Electric spares are becoming difficult to obtain and it has therefore been decided that these types of request are to be welcomed and will be added to the Spares wanted page..
