The technical area of ´English Electric Growl´ still has to evolve into what I want it to represent, this will take time, but hopefully with your help, the wait will not be too long. So if you think you could write a technical article that could be used in this section, please get in touch via the contact form.

The Technical section is currently divided into four areas, although this itself is subject to change as the section develops. It may be required to increase or decrease the sub-sections depending on contributions and storage limits. The four sections currently available are accessed through the menu on the left.

The first of these, ´Diesel Engines´ covers the history of the Diesel engine from it's invention to it's current state. This is followed by a series of articles on how the engine works, how it is supported, how it is controlled and how it is protected. The next sub-section is ´Electricity´, which will cover all aspects of how electricity is created, how it is controlled and how it is used. The final two sections are the ´Traction´ and ´Non Traction´ areas where articles specific to those uses will appear.

Once you have visited these pages, if you think you can add to, or correct, any of the information on show, please use the links on the contact form.
